Wild Life Of A Little Monster

Others are scared of me because of all the fun I have. Considered a vigilante by my Eponine.

We Are The World

Click here for more infoSunday night, March 12, Kansas City's "38 the Spot" television station will host "Sit. Stay. Pledge." It's a pet telethon to help Kansas City’s homeless animals get a second chance at life. Specifically, the telethon benefits The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City. I hear there will even be talent segments with various creatures performing and entertaining. I bet it will a great show.

They of course accept web donations. Give if you can or so desire. There's a chance for some awesome prizes. Or, just take this as encouragement to stop by your local shelter and maybe donate some treats and a dollar or two. And for those of you not needing any encouragment because you go all the time (and I know that's likely many of you), thank you!

(you can email my Mom and tell her i need a time out if you want, i'm sorry.)

our local humane society, Lollypop Farm, had their "mall-a-thon" thing a couple of weeks ago. they always have a good turn out and usually get a lot of money and get a lots of pets adopted out. i am forbidden from going in person, as I would come home with about 8 more cats and maybe a woofie or two.

A local Girl Scout troop had a pet food drive. They got so much that the trailer they had borrowed couldn't handle it. (I hear that the tires almost popped.) The Humane Society people cried when they saw how much was gathered.

Well....I finally made the decision that I wanted Stan the Polydactyl. Called to have them hold him for me and he was adopted. But I was horrified just in calling. I want someone to promise me a new little monster is never going to leave me. Is that possible? I know it's not. I promise, I'm getting closer.

Oh Cowboy, I am so sorry that Stan was gone. I know exactly how you feel about wanting a guarantee that a new monster will never leave you. I wanted that to after Ralphie. It's a leap of faith Cowboy, and it's hard. At least little Stan does have a forever home, and there is another more needy monster out there wating for the purrfect forever home you have for him or her. - Meezer's Mom

Ah Cowboy, I'm sorry Stan wasn't there when you felt you were ready for him. But there IS a monster out there waiting for you, be sure of it. As for them not leaving you - they never do, totally. Eppy is around you, just out of reach - she's watching over you, even if you can't see her.

And there can be no guarantees with any new little purrson we take home - every day they spend with us is precious, and whilst we want them to stay forever, they can't promise it.

Daisy sends you nosenuzzles, and wishes you well in your search for a new little monster ...

I know what you mean. A gaurantee would be nice. But then I look at the poor kitties who go to shelters because their owner dies or has to enter a home, and I think that would be horrible for them. How confused they must be. Funny how the danged relatives show up for the reading of the will, but no one - no one? - can give the babies of that person a home?? Shameless.

Keep looking, Cowboy. You're taking one step at a time, and you'll get there.

(I answered you below when I saw your comment question - arlington!)

Gosh, Cowboy, I hope you were safe from those terrible tomatoes!

No tomatoes got me William. But some strong winds sure came close. Might have some hail damage too.

You are so right, tammara, re: the reading of the will and adopting a cat. I used to tell everyone that I was willing everything to Eponine. Only one nephew was smart enough to tell me that all he ever wanted from me was my cat.

Meezers and Sue, I know that I am tired and again working on stuff. It's late. But I read your message and although it is encouraging and warms my heart, I still instantly had a tear stream down my cheek. One day forward at a time.

It's not sadder, I promise! It's just how it is. Never hesitate to comment. It is 100 percent encouraging!
