There was an explosion/fire Wednesday, Feb. 7, at a chemical plant located about a mile northeast of Kansas City's downtown. From what I've heard, there were no fatalities or serious injuries. That's always good news when there is an event like this.
Took these two pics while taveling west on 210, just in front of the Cerner Corporation. The plume of smoke billowing over Kansas City provided for a very eerie sight. The local newspaper had a very dramatic picture as part of all of Thursday's headlines.
