Wild Life Of A Little Monster

Others are scared of me because of all the fun I have. Considered a vigilante by my Eponine.

Naps, Tasks And Treats

Spent the last few days with Daphne. She arrived Thursday and left Sunday. I'm thinking I could seriously make dog sitting a job. Or even cat watching. Wouldn't that be sweet?

It still amazes me how Daphne loves to sleep under the blankets. My Eppy barely could stand to be covered even temporarily. This Daphne burrows her way under the blanket and then curls up to sleep. It is very sweet. When the alarm sounds, she peeks out to see if I'm getting up or hitting the snooze button. After doing the latter a few times, she gives up and launches from the bed for a gallup to the back door. When it's time to take care of business, it's time! No question about it.

Saturday she helped me rake, prune trees, talk to the very young Kurdish neighbor kids (who haven't learned English) as well as the older, retired neighbor on the other side (who claims to know English), plant items, and pull weeds. I actually think she got tired of being outside. She did spend some time barking at passing dogs and jumping through piles of leaves.

Today she made a mad dash out the garage door, across the street and into other yards. After a bare-footed mad dash after her, I cornered her in one yard and then a very stern "stay" was obeyed believe it or not. Once returning home, I discovered she likes the Pounce treats. Can you believe those Pounce treats are still OK after almost four months?

Haven't finished painting the dining room. I'll be sure to post a picture. Hope it's not too disastrous.

sounds like you're sure having some fun taking care of other peoples' pets 'til you get picked cowboy.

mom says not to look on ebay for the retired angel sitting w/ a kitty. she says we wants to get it for you once you get picked. so you just gots to get picked now! oh, mom also said that if we didn't start using our good behaviors that she might just pack us up in a box and send us to you. that way you wouldn't have to get picked, and you could still have the kitty angel.

we're trying to be good so we don't get sent anywhere, but it's just so hard sometimes!

Did you ever hear the story about the cat and her baby kittens that accidentally got shipped in a box? Here's one story. And another story of a cat that got shipped to France.

Morals of the stories, don't take your mom's threats lightly, stay on your best behaviors, and keep away from empty boxes!

Our Mommy said we need a bay-kay-shun and that she can ship us out to you anytime for a couple of days until you get picked. We loves to sleep under the covers, and we will not run away.

Cowboy, When I goto bed, my Eeyore jumps up beside me and waits for me to lift the covers so he can get under them. Once there, he circles around a few times before settling down and laying by my side. All the time I'm petting him and he purrs loudly (with what I hope is love). He'll stay under the covers until I change position. (I must be getting old but staying still in one spot a half-hour or more starts to bother my back. Maybe a better bed would help?) Oh, my five kitties all like those Pounce treats; especially the crunchy chicken and turkey flavor.

Thanks again Cowboy for such a great weekend!! You are the best sitter in the world! Sexy Lady was sure happy to have me home on Sunday however, I did go ahead and let myself off the cable yesterday and ran the neighborhood saying hello to all my furry friends! Sexy Lady was not impressed and yelled "stay" a few times but I just ignored her!! Later when I decided to come home she welcomed me but did commented under her breath that maybe I needed to go visit Uncle Cowboy again soon!! :) Thanks again for a fun weekend!

Although all the furries in the neighborhood love for you to stop by to say hello, Daphne, your mad runs sure can give a bean heart failure. And what are you going to do if you lose your way home? Who's going to give you Pounce treats and dog bones then? You better be good.

B&B-I hope that box has some blankets and other soft padding in case you get bounced around.

That Eeyore sounds like a very good friend, Dee. You both might enjoy a newer bed!

When my monster was here, Edsel, she wouldn't allow Pounce treats to stay around for too long, much less four years!

Meezers-I've learned that baykayshuns are good for the heart and soul.

Meg-I think Daphne might come stay with me for a long time when SL and her Army Boy go on baykayshun to Europe. You'll have to meet her for sure. I know she'd love you too.

I am wishing we had a Cowboy near us. We want to go to the spa for vacation again this year and are more worried than ever to leave Angel n Taz behind. But we can't take them to any friend's houses as we'd have to replace their carpet when we got back. I hate leaving them, maybe they'd like a spa vacation too... Its three months away and already I'm worried sick. Like I said, wish we had a Cowboy like you to kitty sit our babies. :O)

Uncle Cowboy--boy did I get ratted out last night. The neighbors came over to tell Sexy Lady that they had found her Easter flag in the gutter... so they just happened to mention that on Monday when I was running the neighborhood that I got myself into a little, let's say "situation"... I ended up in a yard with TWO pitbulls. I was about to get eaten (well I had it all under control!) and the nice painter pryed the fence open some so I could escape... I thought that would just stay between me and the painter boy but nooooo... he had to blab to his people and then they had to blab to Sexy Lady! Geez! So Sexy Lady told me something about losing yet another life... wonder how many of those I have left? I'll be more careful!
